Increasing Understanding and Confidence with Care and Compassion
I attended Duquesne University for my Master's degree in Community Mental Health Counseling and am currently attending their PhD program as well for Counselor Education and Supervision. I have five years of counseling experience. I have worked at a short-term residential facility, an outpatient clinic, and now in private practice. My clinical experience involves working with people with depression, anxiety, substance use concerns, personality disorders, and trauma. I also supervise beginner therapists and therapist interns, helping me give back and relearn a lot of old and new skills!

My goal in working with clients is to increase insight, thereby allowing clients to understand themselves at a deeper level and meet head on those things that are bothering them and keep them from their goals. I use Gestalt therapy mainly to help clients do this. This is a safe and often eye-opening approach to psychotherapy that is proven as effective through research. I find it beneficial, as it helps my clients to understanding past trauma, current reactions, and future hopes in a way that helps us create a road map for active experimentation and growth.

I offer evening hours to help meet my clients' needs. I accept private pay clients, as well as clients with Highmark/BCBS, UPMC, and United. Please email or fill out the questionnaire on this website to start a conversation about how I can help meet your needs.
